Uluru Says ‘Ni Hao’ to Chinese Pre-Wedding Photos
The world’s most romantic backdrop opens for once in a lifetime wedding photographs
The jewel in Australia’s tourism crown Uluru is now the backdrop for beautiful and unique wedding and pre- wedding photography thanks to leading NT based Chinese Operators Uluru Chinese Tour and George Fragopoulos international master photographer based in Darwin. Uluru Wedding Photography has been granted never before access to the UNESCO dual heritage listed Uluru - Kata Tjuta National Park (UKTNP) to offer wedding photography tours – born out of the Big Ideas initiative run by the UKTNP board and Parks Australia in late 2015
The Eiffel Tower, Times Square and the Grand Canyon will now be joined by one of the world most renowned natural wonders as striking natural beauty, vibrant colour and mystical sunsets will undoubtedly become the top trending destination in 2017.
Uluru Wedding Photography will officially launch their new product and website in Darwin on Wednesday, 19 October. Focusing stage one on the Cantonese and Mandarin speaking market, with the support of the Northern Territory Government the product will be released to the Hong Kong audience in November at the Hong Kong Wedding Expo.
George Fragopoulos is an international award-winning wedding photographer based in Darwin and has been researching this phenomenon of pre- wedding and international destination wedding shoots for some time. “I am excited to be partnering with a respected operator such as Uluru Chinese Tour to deliver this product, their experience with specialising in the Chinese market is second to none and I am thrilled to be part of an amazing team that brings the world to the Northern Territory” George said. Steven Wang Director of Uluru Chinese Tour has had his eye on this market for some time also and jumped at the chance to put a proposal together for the Big Ideas Expression of Interest. “I have been watching the popularity of this activity in Melbourne and Sydney for several years and always knew that Uluru would be incredibly popular. I am very confident that this will increase our numbers to Australia and the Northern Territory and we are very prepared to cope with the demand’ he said.
The exclusive packages include carefully designed itineraries that incorporate three and four-day concierge touring and photography packages. The locations have been selected for their beauty, accessibility, respectful of cultural sensitivity and to ensure there is minimal impact on other guests. Uluru Wedding Photography offers a full travel agency service right from enquiring and booking through the multi lingual website (English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese) through to taking care of the guests as soon as they arrive at the airport all the way until departure. Couples will also have the option of selecting their attire from the onsite wardrobe inclusive of designer couture dresses and suits.
Uluru Wedding Photography couples will receive as part of their package a selection of images and a beautifully presented fine art album adorned with the artwork and unique logo created especially for the experience by local and well respected Anangu artist Judy Okai. ‘We really wanted to create a brand that tells a story that is connected to the land and its people and promote the sharing of culture long after the experience of the park is over’ George said ‘To support a local artist through a commercial agreement is really important to us and we are absolutely thrilled to have had the opportunity to engage with Judy’. ‘The Uluru Wedding Photography logo represents ceremony and people coming together and it fits what we do perfectly’.
For the inaugural pre-wedding photoshoots at Uluru, Australia’s ‘Mr Weddings’ Henry Weinreich Roth and his ultimate style team created a look of Whimsical Wonder, Classical Cinderella and Paris Red Runway ready couture to add a high-end fashion element to the images.
“The honour of working together with George Fragopoulos with his reputation for sharp, fresh and romantic images allowed us to unleash unbridled sensitivity to this shoot” Henry Weinreich Roth
